Salvation Styx Guitar Internal Cable

When upgrading a guitar’s internal wiring, people often think of classic options such as Fender Vintage waxed wire, American braided metal wire, and Allparts cotton-covered wire. Many guitars are wired with these traditional materials, yet sometimes the sound and dynamics players are looking for still fail to come through.

We found that many internal wiring options sacrifice a great deal of dynamics and detail. In many classic cable designs, the pursuit of shielding, stiffness, and durability can come at the cost of frequency range and dynamic response.

At the same time, we wanted to preserve the vintage, classic character of the guitar while still allowing it to present a more modern sound when needed.

That is why Redemption Styx was developed with carefully considered wiring geometry, stiffness, and 7N single-crystal copper. The result is a gorgeous upper-mid and high-frequency character, while preserving the natural low end of the electric guitar and shaping it into a warm, controlled, and classically voiced response.

To maintain dynamic performance, the outer layer uses a special woven covering that absorbs minute vibrations within the cable, helping reduce instability caused by exposed signal conductors. The inner layer uses PVC insulation with a very low melting point, which is the one part that requires particular care, as temperature must be carefully controlled during construction.

- Materials

  • The special woven outer layer absorbs minute vibrations within the cable, maximizing dynamics and bandwidth while minimizing signal loss.

  • 7N single-crystal copper delivers gorgeous upper mids and highs, along with a low end that is powerful yet warm and controlled.

  • The inner layer uses PVC insulation with a very low melting point, so temperature must be carefully controlled.
